Which way to us

Finding our Drive & Rent branch is easy thanks to several transport options.

We recommend using the Blatiny stop, which is served by lines 9 and 10. From the bus stop, continue along Galandova Street for approximately 600 metres on foot. Line 9 runs directly from the main railway station (from the tram station Hlavní nádraží), which is convenient for passengers arriving by train.

You have two options:
 

  • Get off at the Škola Řepy bus stop (line 164 from Petřiny - Metro A) and walk approximately 180 metres.
  • Or use the Strojírenská stop (line 180 from Zličín - Metro B) and walk about 800 metres.
     

When travelling by taxi, tell the driver the address Žalanského 1674/52a Praha 6, Drive Rent.

Pickup and return

Everything you need to know about the pick-up and return process.

As standard, you return the car refuelled and washed. Please use only non-contact car washes. If you wish to return your car unrefuelled and dirty, there is an additional charge for this service. However, please note that returning an extremely dirty car will incur an additional charge.

As a standard, you pick up your car at our branch in Prague Řepy. If necessary, we will deliver your car throughout the Czech Republic. The price of this service can be found in the reservations. You can pick up your car 24/7.

Normally, you return the car at our branch in Prague Řepy.  If necessary, we will take the car from you throughout the Czech Republic. The price of this service can be found in the reservations. You can return the car 24/7.

We will charge you a late return fee according to the price list. Late returns without prior arrangement may be considered unauthorised use of the car. Anything can happen, so it is important to communicate with us. We will not charge you for a few tens of minutes late return.

To rent a car, you must have a valid driver's license, a valid ID or passport, a security deposit and a sober condition. Driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances is prohibited.

In this case, you will forfeit the full amount of your reservation. However, before this happens, we will try to contact you and find a solution together.

Ride

Important information for a smooth ride with our car.

With our cars you can travel not only all over the Czech Republic but also from Gibraltar to Istanbul. A Czech highway vignette is included in every car. In winter all cars are equipped with winter tyres according to legal requirements.

In the event of an on-the-spot fine, you are on your own. Any fines that come after the end of your rental will be recharged to you including an administration fee.

In the event of a tyre puncture, please contact our assistance service of the insurance company Kooperativa in the Czech Republic at 957 105 105, abroad at +420 266 799 779. If the car is equipped with a spare wheel or tyre repair kit, you can help yourself. When returning the car, please inform us of the defect.

All our cars are backed by unlimited 24/7 assistance throughout Europe. In case of need, please contact our assistance service of the insurance company Kooperativa in the Czech Republic at 957 105 105, abroad at +420 266 799 779. Contact details can also be found on the white card in each car.

You must have held a relevant driving licence for at least 1 year.

A valid driving licence is essential. For cars without a towing bracket, a licence B is sufficient. For cars with a towing device where the total permissible weight of the combination does not exceed 3500kg, a licence B is sufficient. For a total weight of up to 4250kg you need at least a licence with a licence of B96 and anything over 4250kg requires B+E.

No, you can't. You can only use cars on roads, dedicated roads and driveways. No rally, no circuit, no drifting.

Fines and accidents

What to do in case of problems during the rental process.

Any damage to the car must be reported immediately and photographic documentation taken. Minor damage to the car will be charged according to the current price list.

In the event of an accident in the Czech Republic or abroad, follow the same procedure - contact the police, document the accident and inform us immediately. Don't forget to fill in the European accident form, which is in every car. If necessary, you can order our unlimited assistance service. All our cars are accident insured with a default deductible of 10% min. 10.000,- CZK, which can be individually reduced according to your needs.
 

 

Driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs is strictly prohibited. In such a case, the insurance company will pay for the damage, but will then seek recourse (reimbursement of the amount paid). In addition, you may face criminal penalties. In addition, you will receive a large contractual penalty from us.

Payments and deposits

All about financial matters related to renting.

Payment for the rental is made in advance with a deposit when booking online. The total rental price is payable upon pick-up of the car. We accept card and cash payments.

If you have paid a deposit for the rental and you do not collect the car despite our call, the deposit payment will be forfeited as a cancellation fee.

The minimum rental period is 24 hours, the maximum period is not limited and depends on the availability of the car and the agreement.

In the event that the reserved car is not available (due to a previous accident or technical failure), we will offer you a replacement car in the same or higher category. If the replacement car does not meet your requirements, we will give you a full refund.

When renting, you pay a refundable deposit, the amount of which depends on the category of car. All our cars have liability and accident insurance with a default deductible of 10% min 10.000,- CZK, which can be individually reduced.

The deposit is refunded after checking the condition of the car when it is returned. If everything is in order, the deposit is refunded immediately by bank transfer or cash. In case of payment by card, the return of funds may take 3-5 working days depending on the conditions of your bank.

Failure to return the car on the agreed date without prior arrangement is considered unauthorised use of the car and may be reported to the police. In addition, you will be charged a fee for each day you are late according to the price list and you will lose your deposit.
